Here's the continuation to part 2 of Bugis+ Food Trail!
5th stop: Suki-ya
This “House of Hot Pot” is designed to offer heart-warming dining experiences at equally endearing prices. Diners enjoy unlimited, top-quality chilled beef and pork in paper-thin slices and farmed chicken that are oh-so-delicious in their own right. Another highlight of Suki-Ya is its vegetable bar featuring a wide variety of fresh vegetables to round up the meal with a healthy touch. Along with sumptuous soups and broths, dining at Suki-Ya is bound to perk up everyone’s taste buds!
Got some Japan feel here right! A lot of effort has been made to do up the deco!
This is the ala-carte counter
Everything looks so fresh and clean!
chicken, wagyu beef (middle), pork...
I do not like to eat beef but I fell in love with the wagyu beef!! It is so yummy! The meat are all sliced thinly so just dip the meat into the boiling soup for 2 seconds and you can eat it already!
the 4 soup bases that we've tried (from left to right)
Shabu Shabu, Miso with soya milk (only available on Friday, Saturday, Sunday), Kimchi, Sukiyaki (clear)
My favourite soup bases are Kimchi and Sukiyaki! The Miso with soya milk is very unique too.
Besides the usual pork, chicken meat, there's also beef rib eye!
There are also different dipping sauces recommended to complement each soup. It is recommended to use the egg sauce with the sukiyaki soup base.
Group photo of my table! Let's tuck in!

After Suki-ya, we headed to Manhattan Fish Market which is located just beside Suki-ya!
6th stop: The Manhattan Fish Market
Inspired by the finest seafood restaurants found along Fulton Street in Manhattan, we serve you only the freshest, lip-smacking American-style seafood. One bite is enough to keep you swimming back!
We tried a couple of dishes there and it was a positive experience overall!
Fried country mushroom ($7.95)
Juicy fried button mushroom served with our very own Cajun Honey Mustard sauce
The batter is so crispy yet the mushroom is soft and juicy. It goes well with the sauce provided. The mushrooms do not have a strong taste while the honey mustard sauce has a heavier taste so both flavours did not clash.
Garlic herb mussels ($7.95)
Poached mussels in our signature Garlic Herb Sauce, served with baguette to soak up the delicious sauce
The mussels go well with their garlic herb sauce. The bread is there for you to utilize the remaining of the sauce because it is oh-so-yummy!
Caesar Salad with Crispy Whitebait ($10.50)
Lush romaine lettuce with egg topped off with handmade croutons and parmesan cheese, topped with crispy fried silver fish
I love the crispy silver fish toppings a lot. It is a great combination to the caesar salad.
Manhattan Fish ‘N Chips ($11.95)
Hand battered dory fish fillets drizzled with the Garlic Herb Sauce, complemented with chips and a side of salad
The batter is really crispy and the fish is soft and tender.
Manhattan Flaming Seafood Platter ($37.95)
This platter serves up generous portion of hand battered fish fillets, oyster and calamari. The highlight will be our Manhattan Flaming Prawn, brought to full flavour when our sea-cret agents flame right before your eyes
The calamari is deep fried to perfection! The batter is so crispy and the calamari is not hard, easy to bite and swallow. This platter is great for sharing especially if you want to try more items instead of just the signature fish and chips.
Citrus Mint ($5.50)
Cool off with the refreshing taste of freshly squeezed lemons and mints
This is going to be my new favourite drink there. I really love the combination! It is so refreshing and it makes a great thirst quencher.
Sizzling Brownie with Ice-cream ($9.90)
The harmony of elements, enjoy a warm sizzling brownie, topped with smooth vanilla ice-cream n sweet caramel sauce and nuts
My favourite too!! Brownie is warm and moist (it reminds me so much of molten chocolate cake) and goes perfectly with the vanilla ice-cream! Looking at the sizzling sweet caramel sauce makes me so happy already! It is not overwhelming and complements the brownie well. As I am blogging, I am already craving for this!!
