Bugis Junction Food Trail: NYDC

Bugis Junction Food Trail

6th stop:

Our 6th station was at NYDC and we were there for desserts! Even though I was rather full at this point, there is always room in my tummy for desserts no matter what ;)

Here's their cake counters. All the cakes look so yummy and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

We tried a couple of cakes and I love them all!

First up:

Boo Boo ($6.80/slice or $62/whole)
NYDC friends’ chocolate cake with piped swirls of light whipped cream
This is a must-try! The cake has a melt-in-the-mouth texture and it does not taste overwhelmingly chocolate-y so you can eat one whole slice without feeling "sick" of the taste even if you are not a chocolate lover. It leaves you longing for more!

Goldmine Cheesecake ($7.20/slice or $68/whole)
It’s Ally’s New York Cheesecake with chocolate chunks, slathered with irresistible chocolate fudge topping. And did we mention a solid Oreo cookie base?
Who can resist New York Cheesecake? The cheesecake is smooth, rich, and has a creamy texture. True to the description, the oreo cookie base is very solid but you can easily break it up into chunks along with the cheesecake. I will recommend you to share this because it can be rather filling after your main courses.

3-some (mudpie) ($11.80/slice)
It’s ménage à trois of the guilt-free kind! Get wild and gooey while sandwiched between 3 layers of chocolate chip cookie dough, strawberry and strawberry cheesecake ice creams and graham crackers.
Fancy a threesome with this toothsome mudpie? This delicious looking mudpie has 3 different layers of ice-cream flavours - chocolate chip cookie dough, strawberry, and strawberry cheesecake ice-cream. Strawberries' lovers will love this.

Jedi Mudster (mudpie) ($11.80/slice)
The force is tempting us with this one. Double Chocolate Chip and Macadamia Nut ice cream on an Oreo base with homemade cookie chunks. Complete with chocolate fudge and whipped cream.
This is my favourite of the lot together with the Boo Boo cake. This mudpie tastes heavenly. I love anything chocolate so I really like this. I can probably eat a few slices without feeling queasy.

I love how NYDC's cakes have the right level of sweetness which is to my liking and preferences. Their mudpies are really good and you should try at least one when you go there. Be sure to leave some room in your stomach for desserts!
