My HDB Shopping Centre Experience at Vista Point

In celebration of Singapore's 50th birthday, HDB has organized activities for us at the 24 HDB shopping centres. I thought, why not and since I have not been to Vista point before, I decided to give it a go and join in the fun.

I was greeted by a pasam malam which was located right in front of the mall and couldn't resist getting fried oreos which were so tasty!

There was a shop selling herbal drinks and I got a bottle of luo han guo to quench my thirst after eating the sinful snack.

It was a pleasant surprise to see this old-school kiddy ride located at the upper level amongst the other nostalgic shops. This visit really brought back a lot of childhood memories where shopping malls used to be less high-tech and more simple.

Universal Hobby Shop - they sell a wide range of old-school toys that cannot be found easily in the usual shopping malls already.

My childhood days revived!
I'm glad that they still preserve such shops in the heartland malls. Thank you HDB and the shop owners for keeping them alive!

Back to the main purpose of this visit.. Checking out the activities organised by HDB, in the comfort of your neighbourhood's heartland mall!

Get your creative juices flowing and join this lantern design competition. Check out that cute minion lantern!

There are also art & craft booths and riddles guessing game.

What kind of room has no doors or windows?
Guess the riddles on the hanging lanterns and win prizes for the correct answers.

There are different prizes for different riddles depending on the level of difficulty.

I got the answer of 2 riddles correctly and won a teabag holder and a bag :)

I also had my caricature done there in just 5 minutes! I was really looking forward to this because I've always wanted one hehe.

Besides the activities listed above, you can participate in the following activities as well.
